INSA COVID RESPONSE
In the month of March, April, and May of 2020, INSA UK, in collaboration with FISI (Friends of India Society International), answered queries on travel updates, liaised with Indian Govt officials, offered help with health issues (providing medicines, enabling talks with doctors or connecting with mental health experts), helping with urgent food scarcity, helped students retain their house if threatened of leaving or in some cases providing them a place to lodge temporarily; answered on visa validity issues, etc. Apart from these, most importantly, several students simply needed someone to talk to and INSA provided their full ears. In order to keep, students occupied, INSA has also been running talent hunts, positivity & health seminars, etc.
To date, INSA has answered 2980+ calls, 2840+ emails, reached 1 million students & their relatives via social media channels. Provided 4010+ food parcels and sorted 333+ accommodation requests. 80+ people were supported by medical emergencies and urgent consultation.
